Zanskar Valley, nestled in the remote corner of Ladakh, is one of the most enchanting places to visit in the Himalayas. It is located on the eastern corner of Jammu – Kashmir - Ladakh state and is separated from Ladakh by Zanskar mountain range. In ancient times, Zanskar & Ladakh together were part of the kingdom of Guje in Western Tibet. It is connected through Kargil by road and Darcha in Himachal Pradesh by a trekking route over Shingo La pass. Once you visit this wonderland, you will just fall in love with its wide open vistas, fresh aqua blue water streams gushing through the valley, the compelling aura of total remoteness and the massive glaciers which appears to be just a touch away.

❄ Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

• Day : 1 Srinagar – Sonmarg

  Meet and greet on arrival at Srinagar Airport and proceed for Sonmarg (3 hrs drive). Reach Sonmarg and check into the hotel. O/n Sonmarg.

• Day : 2 Sonmarg – Kargil

  After breakfast free time; after early lunch leave for Kargil (6-7 hrs). En route Zojila Pass, Drass Village (2nd Coldest Inhabited place in the World), Kargil war famous peaks and Kargil war Memorial. Reach Kargil by evening. Check into the hotel. O/n Kargil.

• Day : 3 Kargil – Rangdum (2820 mts)

  After early breakfast proceed for Rangdum (8-9 hrs). The beautiful Suru Valley starts after leaving Kargil. The twin peaks of Nun (7135 m) and Kun (7087 m) are the biggest and the highest attraction in the Suru valley. En route witness beautiful Panikhar village and Parkachik Glacier. Check into the tents. O/n Rangdum.

• Day : 4 Rangdum – Padum (3510 mts)

  After breakfast leave for Padum (4-5 hrs) via Penzi La pass (4450 mts). Padum is the administrative capital of Zanskar. Check into hotel. O/n Padum.

• Day : 5 Padum

  Full day excursion to Karsha & Stonghey monasteries and fort at Zangla. O/n Padum.

• Day : 6 Padum

  Full day excursion to Zongkhar Fort & the cave monastery of Zongkul.O/n Padum.

• Day : 7 Padum – Kargil

  After early breakfast leave for Kargil by same route. Reach Kargil and check into the hotel. O/n Kargil.

• Day : 8 Kargil – Dah – Batalik – Kargil

  After early breakfast day excursion to Dah-Hanu villages – known as ‘Aryan villages’ of Ladakh. Later visit Batalik Village which was the major part during Kargil war. Reach Kargil by evening. O/n Kargil.

• Day : 9 Kargil - Srinagar

  Early morning leave for Srinagar via Jozila Pass. Enjoy hot breakfast at Sonmarg. Reach Srinagar and check into the hotel. O/n Srinagar.

• Day : 10 Final Departure

  Today morning drop at Srinagar Airport for onward journey. The tour ends here with the sweet memories of Hazel Tours.
